Universal Studios Home Entertainment has set The Last Word for Blu-ray and DVD release on 6/6. The films stars Shirley MacLaine, Amanda Seyfried, Anne Heche, Thomas Sadoski, and Philip Baker Hall.

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment is releasing Real Genius as part of its Choice Collection of Manufactured on Demand BD-Rs on 5/2 (SRP $26.99).

Lionsgate will release The Blackcoat’s Daughter on Blu-ray and DVD on 5/30.

Cinedigm has set Child of Satan for Blu-ray and DVD release on 6/6.

Kino Lorber is announcing some nice new Blu-ray and DVD titles that are coming to their Studio Classics line-up in June, including Ridley Scott’s 1492: Conquest of Paradise (1992) on 6/6 (Blu-ray and DVD – complete with audio commentary by film historians Howard S. Berger and Nathaniel Thompson, deleted scenes, and both 5.1 and 2.0 audio) and Night People (1954) on 6/13 (Blu-ray only – from a new 4K restoration, complete with interviews with Cecilia Peck, Carey Peck and Tony Peck, audio commentary by film historian Jeremy Arnold, and the original theatrical trailer). Also coming on 6/13 to DVD only are Brannigan (1975), Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia (1974), The Hound of the Baskervilles (1959), From Noon Till Three (1976), and Runaway Train (1985), all in anamorphic widescreen.

Shout! Factory has revealed that it’s releasing the cult classic The Lonely Lady (1983) on 6/13, staring Pia Zadora.

Severin Films has set Future Shock! The Story of 2000AD and Blackenstein for release on Blu-ray on 5/30.

Vinegar Syndrome will release Hellbent and Horror House on Highway Five on Blu-ray on 5/30.

Massacre Video has announced Hack-o-Lantern (aka Halloween Night) for Blu-ray/DVD Combo release on 5/23.

And BBC Home Entertainment has just announced a new 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray release due on 5/16: Wild Africa/Tiny Giants. It’s a 2-disc set containing both films in 4K and regular BD (SRP $34.98).

Finally today, just a quick Star Wars update: As many of you know, the annual Star Wars Celebration convention officially kicks off in Orlando tomorrow. Star Wars.com will be broadcasting a live stream of the whole event here. For those of you waiting for the debut of the first trailer for Star Wars: The Last Jedi, you’ll want to tune in on Friday morning, from 8 to 9:30 AM Pacific. That’s when Kathy Kennedy and Rian Johnson hit the stage to discuss the film. Just FYI.
