Criterion reveals its November slate (with Jabberwocky!), plus Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 4K reviewed & more

All right, we’ve got a couple things for you today…

First, we have three new disc reviews, including Tim’s look at Re-Animator on Blu-ray from Arrow Video, our joint take on Warner’s The LEGO Batman Movie on 4K Ultra HD, and my own look at Disney and Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 on 4K Ultra HD. Do give them a look.

More Blu-ray and 4K reviews are on the way, so be sure to stay watch for them. [Read on here…]

Also today, we have a bit of big announcement news: The Criterion Collection has just revealed their November Blu-ray and DVD release slate, which is set to include George Cukor’s The Philadelphia Story (Cat #901 – Blu-ray and DVD) on 11/7, Donna Deitch’s Desert Hearts (Cat #902 – Blu-ray and DVD) and Jean-Pierre Melville’s Le samouraï (Cat # 306 – Blu-ray, DVD, and iTunes), and Terry Gilliam’s Jabberwocky (Cat #903 – Blu-ray and DVD) on 11/21. We’ve updated The Criterion Spines Project page accordingly.

Back with more tomorrow. Stay tuned…
