Okay... we’re starting a new week with a new Tim Salmons column, featuring this year’s Halloween Hangover “leftovers”. Each day this week, Tim will be posting another Blu-ray review – just a few good titles that either came in too late to be part of the regular Hangover, or that didn’t make the cut for one reason or another. Today’s is a look at Twilight Time’s Count Yorga, Vampire. Do check it out. [Read on here…]

We’re checking with a quick update here at The Bits today to bring you Tim’s final Halloween Hangover Blu-ray review... a look at John Carpenter’s Vampires from Twilight Time! Don’t fret though, Tim gathered so many great Halloween-themed titles for the Hangover that he’s decided to post a few more next week before he’s through. So watch for the first of those on Monday. We’ve got a trio of Blu-rays for you to enjoy today...
First up, Tim’s Halloween Hangover review is none other than Dan Curtis’ 1976 Burnt Offerings, now available on Blu-ray from Kino Lorber.
I’ve also posted a pair of Blu-ray reviews of my own looking atSony’s new The Fifth Element: Cinema Series and Léon: The Professional – Cinema Series. Both discs arrived in stores on Tuesday and are worth a look. Note that each title is available in deluxe “clear case” packaging and also regular Blu-ray cases. The regular versions are the exact same discs for less money – only the packaging is different. See the reviews for all the details. [Read on here…]
