We’ve got three more Blu-rays for you today, including...

Look for it to street on 10/23, complete a new audio commentary with writer Tony Magistrale, author of Hollywood’s Steven King, a new commentary by actor and comedian Jonah Ray and Blumhouse film executive Ryan Turek, 8 new retrospective featurettes (including Truck Stop Tales, Rage Against the Machines, Honeymoon Horrors, Maximum Carnage, A Kid in King’s Court, The Wilmington Factor, Who Made Who?, and Goblin Resurrectus), additional behind-the-scenes footage, a still gallery, the theatrical trailer, and TV spots. SRP is $39.97.

Lionsgate has officially announced its 4K Ultra HD release (distributed for Studio Canal) of John Carpenter’s Halloween on 9/25. Audio will be 7.1 Dolby TrueHD with Dolby Vision HDR. Extras on the included Blu-ray will feature audio commentary with writer/director John Carpenter and actor Jamie Lee Curtis, 2 featurettes (The Night She Came Home and On Location: 25 Years Later), TV Version footage, the trailer, and TV and radio spots.

Here’s a bit of a surprise: Lionsgate has just announced the release of the original Twilight on 4K Ultra HD on 10/23, featuring the theatrical cut of the film with Dolby Vision HDR and Dolby Atmos audio (and the extended cut as a digital download). This release is in honor of the film’s 10th anniversary. A new Blu-ray only collection of the complete Twilight film series will also be available that day. All the legacy extras will be included on the 4K Ultra HD release, along with a new featurette: Twilight Tour... 10 Years Later. We’ve updated the 4K Ultra HD Release List here at The Bits and you can see the cover artwork to the left and also below.

Not done with Lionsgate yet... the studio has also just announced the Blu-ray and DVD release of Michael Bay’s Black Sails: The Complete Collection on 10/16 (SRP $59.99 and $49.98, respectively). All the previous extras will carry over.

And Lionsgate has also set MacGyver: Season 2 for DVD only release on 9/18, this being the new remake series.

Also today, Walt Disney Studios and ABC have just set Scandal: The Two Final Seasons for DVD only release on 8/28, along with Once Upon a Time: The Complete Seventh and Final Season on Blu-ray and DVD.

Kino Lorber has announced that Foxfire (1955) and Female on the Beach (1955) will be coming soon to Blu-ray and DVD in their Studio Classics line-up.

MVD is releasing Bright Lights, Big City on Blu-ray on 11/13 as part of their MVD Rewind Collection.

Shout! Factory is releasing The Bride (1985) on Blu-ray on 9/25, starring Sting and Jennifer Beals.

And Scream Factory has announced the extras you’ll find on their forthcoming Exorcist II: The Heretic Blu-ray, due on 9/25. Look for a new 2K scan of the 118 minute cut of the film on Disc One, with two new audio commentaries (one with director John Boorman and the other with project consultant Scott Bosco), the new What Does She Remember? interview with actress Linda Blair and a new interview with editor Tom Priestley. Disc Two will include a new 2K scan of the 102 minute cut, a new audio commentary with film historian Mike White, still galleries, and the films’ teaser and theatrical trailers.

Here’s a look at the cover artwork for a few of the titles mentioned above and more. Click on the covers to pre-order them on Amazon.com (and remember that doing so helps to support our work here at The Bits and we appreciate it!)...
